This cable is a replacement cable. It only works on USA-SPEC kits. Do not purchase for use with any other kits by any other manufacturers. If your cable was lost, stolen or broken, this cable will get you back up and running.

As you may know, Apple has changed the way the new iPods charge. They charge via USB based 5v charging not 12v like all the older iPods. The cable is backwards compatible and will work with all iPods that came before the new iPods below. This new cable will replace the one you currently have. If you bought the kit before the 5v change, this cable will upgrade your kit to work/charge with the 5v ipods/iphones.

If using an iPhone or any Apple Device that is 5v Charging -

- REALLY OLD kits may also require an update from USA Spec, if the kit doesn't have the internal update. There is no way to pre-determine this, you will first need to get the cable, then you can contact USA Spec if your device isn't charging. USA SPEC would charge a fee to update the kit internally, if applicable. Once again this APPLIES ONLY TO REALLY OLD PA11, PA12 kits.
